If there was ever a time to banish the black, bury the beige, and think pink as Kay Thompson famously pronounced in Funny Face, it’s now. Pink—in all its blushing variations—is everywhere, from Cardi B’s OTT Met Gala look to Barbie’s blockbuster bubblegum marketing blitz. We’re not the least bit surprised. Color experts had long been predicting this rose-colored revival in interiors, with 2023 colors of the year ranging from Pantone’s electrifying Viva Magenta to Sherwin-Williams’s romantic Redend Point. And according to Behr paints, pink shades in its portfolio saw year-over-year sales increases up to an impressive 32 percent. It’s easy to understand pink’s popularity, owing to the range of hues its palette offers; its warmth; and, of course, its inherent sense of fun. Still not tickled by the idea of a fuchsia foyer or salmon salon? Thankfully, interior designers in the ELLE DECOR archive have proved the hue’s versatility, whether it’s dressing a peach-tinted changing room or in a bold floral adorning an entry. Read on for 25 of our favorite pink room ideas.
